Aveiro district is composed of 19 municipalities (Águeda, Albergaria-a-Velha, Anadia, Arouca, Aveiro, Castelo de Paiva, Espinho, Estarreja, Ílhavo, Mealhada, Murtosa, Oliveira do Bairro, Oliveira de Azeméis , Ovar, Santa Maria da Feira, São João da Madeira, Sever do Vouga, Vale de Cambra and Vagos).

Bussaco Forest, a heritage site of incalculable value and beauty, with 105 hectares at 549 m altitude.
